There are several different types of Komboloi classifications:

1. The Everyday Worryknot, one that is used everyday, taken with you where ever you go, remains in your pocket for easy use throughout the day. Variations of the Everyday Worryknot are available in silver, gold, shiny/dull finishes, beads, gems/stones, and a healthy variety of colors. Dimensions: Ranging anywhere from 7.5-8.5” long with tassel and weighing between 20-40 kg.  This is a style that endures much use and abuse.  Most often will be a style with a natural element bead and cord like leather or thick twine.

 2. The Home/Car Decorative Worryknot, meant to be placed around vases in the house, hung and displayed either on fireplace mantles or placed in china cabinets. These same types which are a little bit smaller then the specific Home Decorative Worryknot yet slightly larger than the Everyday style. From this type of style to the specific Home Decorative style Worryknot they begin to take on a more traditional value. Certain Worryknot's in these categories are considered to be family heirlooms being passed down from generation to generation. Dimensions: Ranging between 10-17” long with tassel and weighing between 25 kg-2 oz. Most of these items you will find to be larger. 

3. The Home Decorative Worryknot is specifically meant to be displayed in the home, office, or that you would be proud to show off Greek culture. This type and style of Worryknot is not meant to be handled but rather simply admired for it's beauty and symbolism. Being set down on a table or hung on a wall or shelf with their 6-12” tassels draping off of their bodies enables the true essence of Greek culture to be proudly displayed throughout your home or office. Dimensions: Ranging between 24-30” long with tassels and weighing between 1-2 lb. This style can be anything from a solid gold or amber piece costing thousands of dollars to rather ornate, large, beads that may look exagerated costing hundreds of dollars.

4. The Mythos or Mythical style, although traditionally is not recognized for any religious or spiritual value but in fact takes on a folklore or superstitious condonation. These such Worryknot’s are made in the traditional forms of Matia or eyes. These styles are traditionally used as protective icons to be displayed on the rearview mirrors of cars or visors and within people’s homes and offices. Everyone of the three styles above, Everyday, Home/Car Decorative, and the Home Decorative can be ordered with the Mythos style.

Due to the fact that each set of Worry Beads - Komboloi is hand crafted and no 2 are identical, the pictures within this web site depict only the style and type of the Worry Beads - Komboloi and not necessarily the actual one you will receive.

Availability, production and ultimately our constantly ever changing stock of inventory will determine the exact time you will receive your order.  At times we do have to wait for your order to arrive from Greece.  The longest you may have to wait would be 2 weeks as we usually have new orders being reeived from our factory aproximately 4-6 times a year to keep up with orders.
